The BEST Private Swim Instruction in the Hamptons from the comfort of your own backyard!
about us
Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury related death for children 1-14 years, and we want to do everything in our power to change that statistic. According to the CDC, formal swim lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by 88%. Living so close to the water, it is absolutely necessary to learn and master water safety skills. Where better to learn that in your own pool, where accidents are most likely to occur?
Once a solid base of safety skills is established, the sky is the limit for what you can learn. Here, we believe children learn best when they are having FUN! We use games, songs and toys to teach different swimming skills that will later play an integral part in our students' water safety. Each child (and adult!) learns at their own pace. While we always keep a strong focus on lifesaving techniques, we know that building a positive and safe relationship with the water will result in confident, happy swimmers!
Alyssa's Aquatics swim lessons are different from the rest. Instructors are well trained in a variety of techniques that combine the best of a number of different swimming theories. They are also experienced with various water sports including: competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, water polo, diving, snorkeling, scuba diving, free diving, mermaid performances, and more! Using this diverse knowledge, we can custom tailor each swim lesson to meet your specific goals, in addition to providing lessons based off American Red Cross Guidelines. We have extensive experience teaching from students from 6 months old to 86 years old - and everything in between!
But don't just take our word for it, see what Hampton's Magazine has said in their Memorial Day Issue or the Editor's Letter! Or, see us in action with one of our favorite long time clients, Real Housewife Aviva Dresher!

JENNIE WALLACE
"Alyssa, I can't thank you enough for giving my children a love of the water this past summer. My son William wouldn't even put his head in the water when you started with him and after just a few weeks, he was diving in the deep end! The transformation was unbelievable. You do a terrific job of making swimming fun and alleviating any fear. My daughter can't wait to learn to swim with you next summer! Thank you again!"
KERRI LEVINE
Jenna not only taught our son pool safety by the age of 2 and to fully swim by the age of 3- but she has become a part of our summer vacation family. Her kind and trustworthy demeanor is first rate and teaching skills are one of a kind. Our kids look forward to seeing Jenna, and we speak throughout the year. We can not recommend her enough!
KELLEY DAVIS
Alyssa worked with my 3 children for the last few summers and has successfully taught each of them how to swim! She taught the oldest child backstroke and butterfly, the middle one how to swim all 4 strokes, and she took the youngest from a baby afraid of the water to a child who understands water safety. She is warm and welcoming and my kids love her! She is always on time, and comes prepared for all kinds of weather and varying moods! Most importantly, Alyssa gets results. My kids know how to swim and that gives us peace of mind. She is a talented teacher and we feel lucky to have found her.
CLAUDIA FREEMAN
I can’t say enough about how amazing Jenna is. She is imaginative and warm. I have seen her teach to a variety of swim abilities and personalities since several of Elsie’s friends have joined her for lessons, and I am always amazed at how easily she adapts. She is so patient! Or course, nothing beats watching a kid who wouldn’t put her face in the water in June go to diving to the bottom of the pool by August! Thank you again!
HILLARY HARRIS
"Alyssa is a wonderful teacher. Until last summer, my daughter refused to put her face in the water. After just a few lessons with Alyssa, she was swimming underwater. Both my children learned so much in their lessons. Alyssa always pushed them just the right amount: enough to motivate them to keep learning, but not so much that they got overwhelmed. They can't wait to be back in the pool with Alyssa again!"
